What to Prep?

  • Braised Chicken

  • 1.2 - 1.5kg Whole Chicken
  • 1tbsp Sugar
  • 4tbsp tsp Oyster Sauce
  • 2tbsp Soy Sauce (Lemak Manis)
  • 30gm Ginger (Sliced)
  • 30gm Spring Onion
  • 500ml Water

  • Sauce

  • 150ml Carnation Evaporated Creamer
  • As needed Braised chicken water
  • 3 pcs Ginger (Sliced)
  • 3 pcs Spring Onion
  • 1 tsp Water
  • 1 tsp Corn Starch
  • A/N Red Chilles, Ginger & Spring Onion (Sliced) (For Garnish)

How To Cook?

  1. For the Chicken:
  2. Clean the whole chicken, remove the fat. Marinate the chicken with sugar, soy sauce and oyster sauce.
  3. In bottom of the pot place the spring onion and ginger. Then place the marinate chicken.
  4. Top up the pot with water then braised the chicken in a low flame for 50 minutes or until the chicken cook through (depend on the chicken size).
  5. Remove the chicken from the pot. Set aside.
  6. For The Sauce:
  7. In the pot reduce the braising liquid and add Carnation Evaporated Creamer. With low heat, slowly stir until mix and add the corn starch mixture. Cook until it is thickening. Close the flame.
  8. Put the chicken back in the pot and base chicken with the sauce for 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with spring onion, red chilies and sliced ginger. And ready to be serve.
