What to Prep?
- Rempah (blend):
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 shallots
- 4 red chillies
- 1 stick lemongrass
- To cook:
- 50ml cooking oil
- 2 tbsp toasted belacan
- 5 sticks lemongrass
- 1 pineapple
- 8 pieces asam keping
- 1.5kg prawns
- 3 pieces kunyit leaves
- 4 pieces kaffir lime leaves
- ½ can CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
How To Cook?
1. Add oil to the wok, then add the blended rempah. Fry with belacan until fragrant and the oil splits.
2. Add the pounded lemongrass stalks. Cut the pineapple and kunyit leaves, then mix them together.
3. Add all the prawns, and pour in some water to form the gravy.
4. Once the prawns are cooked, add finely chopped kaffir lime leaves and season with salt and sugar.
5. Lastly, add CARNATION® Evaporated Milk to thicken the sauce.
